Enrollment now open for LTUSD students new to the district

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Enrollment for Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten for the 2024/25 school year is now open. Parents are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registration is also open for all grades through 5th grade at this time.

Once the online enrollment is completed (https://laketahoe.asp.aeries.net/air), LTUSD will need additional paperwork (see below). Your school of residence will contact you for a registration appointment.

Important! Enrollment Steps:
1. Complete the Online Enrollment process for your school of residence (see transportation zone map).
2. Download, print, and fill out the required forms. Links to all forms can be found at the beginning and end of the online enrollment process.
3. Schedule your health and oral examinations - bring the required forms to the appointments.
4. Wait for the school to contact you to schedule a registration appointment and turn in paperwork at the same time.
5. If you are unable to download and print forms, please visit your school site and pick up a New Student Packet.

Kindergarten:
To be eligible for K, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024. (CA State Law)

Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
To be eligible for TK, your child must turn 5 years old between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025

TK opportunities are available at the following sites:
- Bijou Elementary (Transportation Zone 1)
- Tahoe Valley Elementary (Transportation Zones 2 & 3)
- Possibly Meyers Elementary - TBD

The following documents are required to be delivered to the school site to complete TK & K enrollment during your scheduled registration appointment:

1. Child's birth certificate. (CA Law)
2. Proof of immunizations. Children will not be enrolled in school without presenting an up-to-date immunization record. (CA Law). For more information regarding required immunizations for California public schools, please click here and here.
3. Proof of California residency (lease agreement, mortgage statement, or utility statement)
4. Report of Health Examination (please schedule with your family Physician). (CA Law)
5. Oral Health Assessment (dental examinations that have occurred in the last 12 months meet this requirement). (CA Law)
6. Student Health Status Form
7. Health and Developmental Inventory
