El Dorado authorities arrest Cameron Park man after woman found dead

El Dorado County authorities have arrested a 45-year-old Cameron Park man in connection with the apparent murder of a woman found Monday morning.
Todd Alan Winkler, 45, was arrested Monday night and is being held in El Dorado County Jail without bond for reasons related to the homicide, said Lt. Bryan Golmitz.
Deputies had responded Monday morning to the 3100 block of Aeronca Way in Cameron Park, on the East Slope of El Dorado County, and found an unidentified woman, dead, with Winkler standing outside the home. Authorities had earlier called the death "suspicious" and later arrested Winkler in connection with the woman's death, Golmitz said.

El Dorado County dispatchers were contacted at 10:35 a.m, from a reporting party who said there was a dead woman at the home. Deputies responded to the residence and found Winkler near the front porch of the residence and the dead woman inside. Deputies detained Winkler for questioning and called for detectives and crime scene investigators, Golmitz said.
