Warming trend until mid-week at Lake Tahoe, then another system with possible rain/snow arrives

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Temperatures will warm to well above normal Tuesday and Wednesday before a modest Pacific storm brings increased breezes along with light rain and snow showers Thursday and Thursday night. A colder
storm is possible late Friday into Saturday with the potential for snow showers. Below-average temperatures with additional slider-type systems could continue into next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

The storm midweek will bring a bit of valley rain and mountain snow for the Sierra, northeast California, and western Nevada. Snow levels will be higher than the past systems, so there will be rain and a mix of rain/snow around Lake Tahoe.
