COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 8 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday. The County's health officer announced 1 is from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 0 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 1 in Greater Placerville, 2 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, -1 in South County, 5 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: 0. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 107.

Of those new cases, -1 are under the age of 18, 5 are age 18-49, 2 are aged 50-64, and 2 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's county: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 15 assumed recoveries with 424 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 334 negative results received.

There are currently 3 COVID-19 patients hospitalized with 2 of them in the ICU. As of today, there are 2 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 at Barton, both of them in the ICU; 1 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall with 0 of them in the ICU. There is one suspected COVID-positive patient in the ICU at Barton. Also according to the State website, Barton has 2 available ICU beds, Marshall 0.

There has been no additional deaths, the total for El Dorado County residents dying from COVID-19 is 100.

We are reporting am additional death due to COVID-10 in the Quad-County Region. The individual was a female Carson City resident in her 70’s.

We are also reporting 10 new cases and 45 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 11,263, with 9,131 recoveries and 208 deaths; 1,924 cases remain active.
