South Tahoe Refuse issues service alert

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Tahoe Refuse (STR) is making efforts to reach those scheduled for collection this week, however, due to hazardous road conditions and challenges navigating narrow roadways, there may be delays or missed garbage/recycling pick-ups in certain service areas for the week of March 4, 2024.

If they are unable to access your area due to the conditions, STR will pick up all accumulated solid waste and recyclables on your next scheduled pick-up day. Customers with service have the option to drop off household trash at no charge at the Transfer Station at 2140 Ruth Avenue.

Please also remember that bear boxes and dumpsters must be cleared and shoveled out for service.
