Forecast: South Lake Tahoe highs in 40s and 50s, small slider mid-week but staying mainly dry

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Temperatures will warm to start the work week with gusty winds in higher elevations of the Sierra tonight into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. A quick-moving weather slider system will bring breezy winds, a low chance for rain and snow showers, and a cool down Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. The weekend looks warm and dry with the potential to shift to a more active weather pattern next week.

Monday - Sunny, with a high near 44. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 17. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southeast after midnight.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 50. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.
