Douglas County commissioners seek to fill opening on planning commission

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for one appointment to the Planning Commission to fill out a term through the end of the year.

The Douglas County Planning Commission is an advisory body to the Board of County Commissioners and is responsible for providing advice on land use planning matters, reviewing development applications for compliance with County plans/ordinances, including amendments to the Douglas County Master Plan, and the Development Code.

The appointed applicant would serve out the existing term which expires December 31, 2022, at which point, the appointee can re-apply for a 4-year-term.

The application deadline for this board is Monday, March 21, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Appointments will be made at the Board of County Commissioners meeting held on April 7, 2022.
