Schools closed in South Lake Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe and Truckee, and Incline Village

10 a.m. update: The Douglas County Sheriffs' office has asked to have all valley dchools to close due to current road conditions and road closures. All DCSD Valley Elementary students who were picked up on the bus are being taken to school and families will need to pick them up. If you haven't sent your student to school please keep them at home. Secondary students can return home on the bus or use their usual transportation method to get home.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - All Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) schools will be closed today, Friday, March 10 due to the weather-related challenges and forecasted weather for today. Overnight rain has created localized flooding and has impacted campuses. There were also power outages overnight.

Also closed is the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.

Incline Village Schools are closed for Friday, March 10 due to hazardous weather and road conditions. Students will engage in distance learning. Grab-and-go meals are available at Incline Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

At this time no other schools have listed closures on their website.
