Tahoe Douglas Fire responds to Thursday night fire in Glenbrook

GLENBROOK, Nev. — A house fire in Glenbrook on Thursday was quickly contained by the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District (TDFPD).

On March 9 at 8:27 p.m., TDFPD responded to the home with seven apparatuses. Flames were visible. All occupants made it out of the residence without injury and damage was isolated to a few rooms.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and no other information is available at this time.

South Lake Tahoe Fire and East Fork Fire provided coverage for the district as TDFPD was at the Glenbrook fire.

A reminder from TDFPD: Remember, always have two ways out of any building, close bedroom doors when you go to sleep, check smoke alarms for proper operation, and make sure there is a carbon monoxide alarm. Know where fire extinguishers are located and how to use them. Also always make sure snow doesn’t block exit windows or doors and keep hydrants clear for easy access in an emergency.
