Barton Health purchases Quick Care Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Barton Health has announced they have purchased Quick Care Tahoe and it will become part of the Barton family this spring. In early 2021, Dr. Steven Leman and his partners Sean Bishop and Jonathan Raymond (Quick Care Tahoe, LLC) opened the medical business at the South Lake Tahoe "Y" at 2074 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Barton Health purchased the business from Quick Care Tahoe, LLC. Barton Health will own and operate the business, including all staffing, under the new name, Barton Quick Care.

Quick Care Tahoe had opened to fill the void left by the closing of Tahoe Urgent Care and the retirement of Dr. Henning Mehrens.

With the new move, Barton is expanding convenient access to medical care for the community by offering walk-in care, and expedited treatment options for non-life-threatening conditions through the Barton Health system.

Practitioners at this location will diagnose and treat mild injuries, and illnesses, such as lacerations/ sprains and cough, congestion, sore throat, and ear pain associated with bacteria or viral infections, such as flu and COVID-19.

“Since their inception, we have maintained a collaborative relationship with Quick Care Tahoe through an affiliated partnership,” said Dr. Matthew Wonnacott, Chief Medical Officer of Barton Health. "As part of the same health system, our patient population will benefit from full integration into our electronic health records system, MyChart, along with seamless sharing of patient health profiles between providers, making health information exchange straightforward and uncomplicated.”

Barton Urgent Care will continue to provide urgent medical care services, including limited imaging and labs, at 155 Hwy 50, Stateline, Nev.

Leman had plans to move his Urgent Care business to a new location on Emerald Bay Road, but Barton said they have no current plans to move Quick Care at this time.
