March Madness bracket for Lake Tahoe beaches

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - March Madness is not only on the basketball court this season, but it is around the shores of Lake Tahoe too. The lake is surrounded by beautiful beaches, and now the public has a chance to vote on their favorites in a unique bracket.

The Tahoe Fund is running a March Madness-style tournament to determine the most popular beach at Lake Tahoe.

The first round of voting started Thursday. Submit your votes by filling out the form HERE, or voting on their Instagram story @tahoefund. Voting will be held weekly and the winner will be announced on April 8.

In last year's March Madness, the trails around the lake were voted on, with the Rubicon Trail surviving each round and taking the championship.

NORTH:
Patton Landing (Waterman's) vs. Skylandia
Kings Beach State Recreation Area vs. Hidden Beach

WEST:
Lester Beach (D.L. Bliss) vs. Emerald Bay Beach
Commons Beach vs. Meeks Bay

EAST:
Secret Cove vs. Sand Harbor
Skunk Harbor vs. Chimney Beach

SOUTH:
Baldwin Beach vs. Kiva Beach
Regan Beach vs. Pope Beach
