Volunteers needed to help with Bread & Broth Monday night meals

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Bread & Broth will return to its traditional Monday Meal program on Monday, April 4. After two years of packing food for distribution twice a week, they are excited to return to cooking hot meals and serving guests inside of Grace Hall from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. each Monday.

The all-volunteer nonprofit is in need of helpers in order to continue to make this program successful.

Volunteers serve just one Monday a month and there are a variety of opportunities open and available:

1. Set up, serve, take down - 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Help set up, wrap silverware, prepare the coffee and dessert table. Pack bags of food for distribution, help serve food and greet dinner guests. Assist with take-down.

2. Cooks - Starting times vary and done by 4:00 p.m.
Assist the head cook to prepare salads, side dishes, etc.

3. Clean-up crews - 5:25 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Wipe down tables, put away tables and chairs, dry mop Grace Hall dining area, wipe down kitchen surfaces, mop the kitchen floor, empty trash containers.
