Lake Tahoe Historical Society presents Tahoe Talks

Event Date:
April 12, 2023 - 6:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is holding its Spring Membership Meeting on Wednesday, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Museum Complex in South Lake Tahoe.

Guest speakers are local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff who will be sharing stories from their new book, Tales Along Lake Tahoe Shores, A Sentimental Journey. Lake Tahoe has long been revered for its natural beauty for thousands of years. The landscape is charming, captivating, and unforgettable. The vastness of the simmering blue expanse, encircled by majestic mountains and adorned in great green evergreen robes.....binds the body and mind and makes one's heart beat faster. It is difficult to lay eyes upon something so enchantingly grand without feeling deeply inspired...creating visions that have led many to achieve their personal best.

The Woodruffs will be taking attendees on a sentimental and nostalgic journey back in time as they reflect on Big Blue's varied, diverse, and sometimes complicated human history.

Join the Historical Society for this free event (though donations are always gladly accepted). After the talk, the museum will be open for viewing and purchases of the Woodruff's book.

The museum complex (museum, cabin, toll house, and senior center) are located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
