South Tahoe High seniors commit to LTCC and Simpson College for sports at next level

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe Community College is benefitting from the soccer talents of four South Tahoe High School (STHS) seniors, all committing to playing for the Coyotes in the fall.

During a traditional high school signing ceremony with family and friends watching on Thursday, Itzel Diaz, Jenni Arias, Salvador Arias, and Aiden Morales all committed to LTCC Soccer Coach Jeremy Evans to play for him in the Fall. Aiden was a 1st Team All-League striker, Jenni a 1st Team All-State, and Itzel was Honorable Mention All-State.

Also signing was Joel Gomez who will be attending Simpson University in Redding, Calif. The 1st Team All-League wide receiver will help the Simpson Red Hawks start their first football program.

Senior Ivy Gonzalez, a two-time League MVP in basketball was not present Thursday, but her achievements were to be celebrated. STHS Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Tony Sunzeri said Ivy is narrowing down her choices on where to go to school and play after graduation.
