1,600 vaccinated at Harrah's Tahoe, next Nevada clinic in Stateline on April 6 for all ages

STATELINE, Nev. - More than 1,600 people received the COVID-19 vaccine at a two-day clinic held at Harrah's Lake Tahoe this week. The casino was the first non-medical host property for Carson City Health and Human Services to administer the vaccine to eligible individuals in partnership with the Nevada National Guard.

The vaccine drive served eligible individuals, including frontline hospitality and restaurant workers, including Harrah’s and Harveys Team Members who work in Nevada.

The property is scheduled to host an additional vaccine drive for all Nevadans aged 16 and older to receive their first dose on Tuesday, April 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by their second dose on Tuesday, April 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These will be the Pfizer vaccine. Those living across the state line but working in Nevada will be eligible with proof of employment.

“We were honored to be selected as the first non-medical vaccination site in Lake Tahoe. These vaccination events allow us to break down barriers that may otherwise stand in the way of our Team Members receiving doses,” said John Koster, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s and Harveys Lake Tahoe. “The past year has been challenging, but we are optimistic that the vaccine will help us get back to business and continue to welcome more guests to our resorts.”
