COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 6 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 0 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 1 in North County, 1 in Greater Placerville, 1 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 3 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: 0. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 107.

Of those new cases, 0 are under the age of 18, 4 are age 18-49, 81are aged 50-64, and 1 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 3 assumed recoveries with 319 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 299 negative results received.

There are currently 2 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and in the ICU. As of today, Barton has both patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the ICU; 0 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall with 0 of them in the ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 2 available ICU bed, Marshall 3.

There have been no additional deaths, the total for El Dorado County residents dying from COVID-19 is 107.
