The South Tahoe High performance of Almost, Maine extended

Update: The South Tahoe High School Drama Department is extending the showing of Almost, Maine for a third weekend. Performance dates are added on April 16 and 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The South Tahoe High School Drama Department presents Almost, Maine a play by John Cariani comprising of nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine.

The play was filmed entirely on the South Tahoe High/Tahoe Arts and Design Academy (TADA) Theatre Stage during COVID-19 and it will be streamed to the public several days in April.

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place so far north, it's almost not in the US. It's almost in Canada. And it's not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn't exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend - almost - in this delightful midwinter night's dream.

As they were filmed the actors are wearing masks for their safety and to follow CDC guidelines. Please rally around these exceptional students during a stressful time.
