Cold and wet start to the week at Lake Tahoe, but almost 60 degrees by Easter Sunday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Temperatures plummet to start the week with South Lake Tahoe hitting 27 degrees during the day. The good news, yes, there is good news, in one week we will see the high 50s and into the 60s!
But first, to get through some windy and snowy weather as a system passed through the Sierra through Monday. That system passes through, and starting Wednesday through the weekend, at least, temperatures will continue to get warmer each day. Hope we aren't jinxing anything by saying this, but Easter Sunday is expected to be 59 and sunny. A glimpse into that week shows some 60s as a ridge builds over the western US through the first half
of next week. Don't know exactly how awesome it will be this far out, but it could make the slight chance of a little system this week more survivable.
The weekly forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno for South Lake Tahoe:
Monday - A 50 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 11 am. Some thunder is also possible. Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.
Monday Night - A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 8 pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 9. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 34. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the morning.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. South wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low of around 20.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
Thursday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 27.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 51.
Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low of around 30.
Saturday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 32.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 59.
