Sticker sale to support Sierra-at-Tahoe avalanche dogs

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It has been a winter for the record books, and stickers to commemorate the season are being sold to support the Sierra-at-Tahoe avalanche dogs.

For several years, Kenny Curtzwiler held a fundraiser at the ski resort called Dual on Dynamite. Not only was it held to raise funds for the dogs, but it was also in memory of Zach "Zach-Mac" McAllister, a 26-year-old Tahoe native who died suddenly in 2016. He had been a ski patroller at Sierra-at-Tahoe and his dog was one of the He also worked as a ski patroller at Sierra-at-Tahoe with his golden retriever, Spooner, who was a member of the Sierra Avalanche Dog Program.

Due to the challenges of the ski resort after the Caldor Fire, the Dual on Dynamite has not been held, but in its place, Curtzwiler is selling stickers for $5, for which $2 from each sale goes to support the dog program.
