Return of the Tahoe Douglas Rotary and Red Hut Family Burger Night

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Red Hut is again teaming up with the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club to host a FUNdraiser for Rotary’s annual Student College Scholarship Awards Program. Long a tradition before the pandemic, Red Hut’s Family Burger Night is an event featuring community wide support for college scholarships awarded to both South Tahoe High School and Whittell High School seniors.

This year's Burger Night is Thursday, April 11 at the Red Hut on the corner of Ski Run Boulevard and Hwy 50. The event will be from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. A Donation of $15 will get you a great burger, homemade chips and a soda. All Proceeds minus a gratuity go to the Student Scholarship Fund.

At 6 p.m., Rotarians will also be featuring an exciting list of raffle prizes and a special live auction. Auction items will include a sunset dinner cruise, a day cruise to Emerald Bay, and a snowmobile adventure for two in the Sierras - all donated by Zephyr Cove Resort.

These two community leaders are teaming up to host this family and friend-focused spring fling get-together to further their support of local youth. The Red Hut’s Gardner Family has provided hands-on support to South Lake Tahoe area students for many years.

The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club, in recognition of future young leaders, has awarded well over $100,000 in annual scholarships in recent years.
