COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 26 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 10 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 6 in Greater Placerville, 1 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 9 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: 0. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 93.
Of those new cases, 2 are under the age of 18, 16 are age 18-49, 3 are aged 50-64, and 5 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 11.
There have been another 29 assumed recoveries with 343 assumed active cases.
There have been an additional 1,282 negative results received.
There are currently 0 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and in the ICU. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the ICU; 0 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall with 0 of them in the ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 2 available ICU beds, Marshall 3.
There has been 0 additional death recorded, the total for El Dorado County residents dying from COVID-19 is 108.
With respect to the tier assignment measures:
- Adjusted case rate: 4.4
- Positivity rate: 2.5%
- Health equity quartile positivity rate: 2.9%
The county moved to the Red Tier, effective 3/3/21. To move down to the Orange/Moderate Tier, the above numbers need to fall into the ranges below. The State could move the county to Orange April 6:

· Health equity quartile positivity rate of 2.2-5.2%
