Auditions being held for new Lake Tahoe Community College musical - Seussical

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Theater is back at Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC). Auditions are being held on Friday, April 14 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a new musical, Seussical.

Erik Baker, the college's new theater teacher and part of the winning duo at Dancing With The Tahoe Stars in October. He is now looking for a diversity of actors and actresses, and of a wide range of ages to match the message of the musical.

Marcus Ashley, South Lake Tahoe's purveyor of Dr. Seuss art, is donating artwork for the set.

The show will be running June 9-18.

Seussical is a musical comedy by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, based on the many children's stories of Dr. Seuss, with most of its plot being based on Horton Hears a Who!, Gertrude McFuzz, and Horton Hatches the Egg while incorporating many other stories.
