Volunteers needed for South Lake Tahoe Science Expo

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Parents and community members interested in sharing science with local youth are needed for this year's South Lake Tahoe Science Expo April 17-21, 2023.

This year's theme is Life and Health Sciences and activities will focus on organisms and ecosystems, inheritance and adaptation, and health and nutrition. No experience is necessary and all volunteers will be trained on how to do activities at the stations the students will be visiting.

Being a volunteer is fun and easy! The expo is held to educate the third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students in our region.

Please feel free to sign up for more than one session as 30 volunteers are needed for each session. Set-up teams are also needed:

Monday, April 17 - 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday, April 18 - 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Wednesday, April 19 - 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Thursday, April 20 - 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Friday, April 21 - 8:45 am - 12:00 pm

The science expo will take place at South Tahoe High School. Training will be held prior to each Science Expo shift at the school.
