DCSO: Veterinarian found dead in Carson City was sole suspect in lewdness investigation

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding the death of Carson Valley veterinarian Lance Gorrindo earlier this week:
“At the time of Lance Gorrindo’s death he was the sole suspect being sought by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an active Lewdness with a Minor investigation. The identity of the victim is confidential by law and not subject to disclosure.”
Formal charges had not been filed against Gorrindo prior to his death, according to Carson Valley Times.
Gorrindo was found dead in Carson City of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday morning, according to media reports. The 39-year-old was married with children, and a 1995 graduate of Douglas High.
