Daughters of the American Revolution hold Meet and Greet

The Lake Tahoe Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), invites the public to a Meet and Greet on May 17, 2023.

Does your ancestry include patriots of the American Revolution?  If your family history includes folks living in the colonies in the 18th century you may be surprised to find they quality as patriots if they sold food to the military or supported the revolution by purchasing bonds, etc. If so, then membership in DAR may be in your future! You are invited to join us to learn more about DAR and how the Lake Tahoe Chapter of DAR supports historical preservation, patriotism, and education through community service in South Lake Tahoe.

Membership in DAR is open to any woman 18 years of age and older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a man or woman who aided in achieving American independence.  Lake Tahoe Chapter is one of over 3,000 chapters worldwide with an international membership of over 185,000 women.

Chapter genealogists will be on hand to help answer any questions and to guide you through the application process. 

Join us Wednesday, May 17, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tahoe Douglas Fire Station #23, 193 Elks Point Rd, Zephyr Cove.
