Barton Health, in partnership with the State of California and Vail Resorts, will host a Pfizer vaccine clinic on Friday, April 30 at Heavenly Ski Resort’s California Base Lodge, 3860 Saddle Rd., South Lake Tahoe.
Appointments MUST be made in advance through California's MyTurn system; you will also schedule your corresponding 2nd dose appointment on May 21 through this system - https://myturn.ca.gov/.
Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis until all doses are allocated but as of Thursday morning, many of the 2,000 doses are still available. Barton Health cannot schedule appointments directly and patients do not need to be part of Barton’s system to receive a vaccine.
Individuals in need of their 2nd Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine may receive it at this clinic. During registration, schedule your vaccine appointment as if it's the first appointment and cancel the automated second appointment. Please note this only works if the patients' first vaccine was Pfizer, NOT Moderna. You must bring your vaccination card with you to your appointment.
COVID-19 vaccines are being distributed to anyone age 16 and over (individuals age 16-17 are only eligible to receive the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine).
The vaccine is being provided at no cost by the government. Your insurance will be charged for the cost of administering your vaccination.
Or call the CA COVID-19 Hotline at 1.833.422.4255 for assistance.
Nevada residents can use Immunize Nevada's online vaccine locator tool to search for nearby vaccination opportunities or by calling .800.401.0946.
Before your appointment:
You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment number and the date/ time, including the date/ time of your 2nd dose appointment on May 21. Or check your appointment time/ manage your appointment via the MyTurn Portal here.
Print out or have your confirmation on your phone before arriving at site. Plan to arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before your designated appointment time. Please bring a form of documentation with your name on it. The name should match the name on your appointment confirmation, and if your eligibility is based on age, bring a document with a birthdate.
Tell the vaccination provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you have any allergies, have a fever, have a bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner, are immunocompromised or are on a medicine that affects your immune system, are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, have received another COVID-19 vaccine.
