Celebration of Life for Marvin Buchmiller and Michael Clark

A Celebration of Life will be held for Marvin Buchmiller and Michael Clark on Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion in South Lake Tahoe.

Marvin Buchmiller was a 10-year member of the Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra where he served as president during the 2014-15 administrative year. In addition, Marvin worked for more than 30 years with the disabled community members in South Lake Tahoe, helping those less fortunate in obtaining and serving in the job market to what extent their disability would allow.

Michael Clark was a member of the Aktion Club of Lake Tahoe (sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra), which is a sponsored organization by Kiwanis clubs for adults with mental and physical disabilities.

On March 2, 2023, Marvin drove Michael to Sacramento for a medical appointment. On their way home, just east of the Ice House Road turnoff on US50, Marvin was executing a left curve when an oncoming car drifted into the eastbound lane, hitting Marvin’s car. Marvin passed away at the scene and Michael was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away two weeks later.

Due to their close relationship for many years, it was decided by the Buchmiller and Clark Families to have this joint memorial service.

A potluck luncheon will be served and all contributions will be gratefully accepted.
