Live Violence Free and Escobar Training Grounds Deliver Self-Defense Success

April was a jam packed month at Live Violence Free. In honor of Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Prevention Month, we partnered with multiple community agencies, businesses, and volunteers to bring our community prevention education and awareness about the effects of sexual assault and child abuse.
This year, our annual self-defense training classes were held at Escobar Training Grounds, thanks to the generosity of Cory and Dory Escobar. Together, the Escobar staff and students donated their time to provide beginner self-defense techniques to more than 40 women and to 25 children. We want to extend a big thank you to Escobar Training Grounds for helping Live Violence Free bring these valuable skills to community members in a fun and safe environment.
We are planning to hold more classes in the future to continue creating a safer community as a whole.
