COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 15 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday: 2 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 2 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, -1 in North County, 4 in Greater Placerville, 9 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, -2 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: 1. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 100.
Of those new cases, 3 are under the age of 18, 9 are age 18-49, 3 are aged 50-64, and 0 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 11.
There have been another 28 assumed recoveries with 449 assumed active cases.
There have been an additional 898 negative results received.
There are currently 2 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 0 in the ICU. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and 0 in the ICU, and 2 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 4 available ICU beds, Marshall 0.
There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 112 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
With respect to the tier assignment measures (please note we're in the Red tier in adjusted case rate -- in fact, just .1% away from the Purple tier -- and health equity rate):
- Adjusted case rate: 9.9 (+0) (Red Tier, Purple Tier is 10+)
- Positivity rate: 3.9% (-0.2%) (Orange Tier)
- Health equity quartile positivity rate: 6.5% (+0.3%) (Red Tier)
The county is in the Orange Tier, effective 4/7/21, and was notified again on 5/4 they will stay in Orange. The numbers below are what is needed to move down to Yellow. All tiers are slated to be gone by June 15.

Washoe County
The Regional Information Center is reporting two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County, marking 676 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County since March 2020. The deceased are a female in her 50s and a female in her 20s; both had an underlying health condition.
Additionally, we're reporting 23 new COVID-19 cases and 107 recoveries. The reported COVID-19 case, recovery and death information can change retroactively based on updated information that we receive; therefore, sometimes the active case count will not equally reflect the change in cases/recoveries.

There have been 14 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since yesterday.
Lake Tahoe area cases - 174 (+0) are in Tahoe City 573.3 cases/100,000, 413 (+2) in Kings Beach 1035.6 cases/100,000, 67 (+0) in Olympic Valley 505.3 cases/100,000, 89 (+0) in Truckee 47.9 cases/100,000, 64 (+0) in Carnelian Bay 557.2 cases/100,000.
The seven-day test rate is 2.5 percent positive, and the average daily case rate for the last 7 days is 6.6 per 100,000. The seven-day increase is 0.6 percent, the 14-day increase is 2.0 percent.
