Ballots mailed for June 7 primary; Vote centers and drop box hours and locations

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Ballots have been mailed out to voters in El Dorado County for the June 7, 2022 Direct Primary Election.

There are several opportunities for registered voters to cast their ballot.

El Dorado County will have three 11-day Vote Centers open beginning May 28 and an additional eleven 4-day Vote Centers open beginning June 4. All Vote Centers are open through Election Day, June 7, 2022 (Please visit the Elections website for Vote Center locations and hours www.edcgov.us/elections).

For South Lake Tahoe and Meyers voters, there is an 11-day Vote Center at Lake Tahoe Community College 1 College Dr 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and a 4-days Vote Center at California Conservation Corp, 1949 Apache Lane, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Each Vote Center offers many voter services including:

- Being issued a ballot to vote in person
- Drop off your Vote By Mail Ballot
- Register to Vote or update your voter registration information

In addition to Vote Centers, there are 14 drop boxes throughout El Dorado County where you can deposit your Vote By Mail Ballot beginning May 10, 2022.

On the South Shore, box locations are at the South Lake Tahoe Library (24 Hour Drive-Up), Holiday Market (7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.), and Grocery Outlet (7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.).

MAIL IT

Mark your ballot in the privacy of your home. When complete, insert into the return envelope, seal and SIGN the envelope, and put the envelope in any US Postal mailbox. ALL MAILED BALLOTS MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN ELECTION DAY AT 8:00 PM AND RECEIVED BY JUNE 14, 2022 TO BE COUNTED. If voting by mail, leave enough time for postal delivery or use one of the county Drop Boxes to return your ballot.

DROP IT

Mark your ballot in the privacy of your home. When complete, insert into the return envelope, seal, SIGN the envelope, and deposit it in any of the 14 drop boxes located throughout El Dorado County. A list of dropbox locations and accessible hours can be found at www.edcgov.us/elections. All ballot envelopes deposited in a dropbox are retrieved regularly by Election Department staff. NOTE: ALL DROP BOXES WILL BE LOCKED AT 8:00 PM ON ELECTION DAY.

VOTE IN PERSON

Vote in person or drop your Vote by Mail Ballot off at any of the 14 Vote Center locations located throughout El Dorado County beginning May 28, 2022, and ending at 8:00 PM on June 7, 2022. A list of Vote Center locations, dates, and hours of operation can be found at www.edcgov.us/elections.

El Dorado County offers a Remote Accessible Vote by Mail System. The system is designed to accommodate disabled voters, however, the system is available to any voter that requests it.
