From the Warfront to the Homefront Foundation is again sponsoring a day across the United States and world when we ask citizens from to take some moments out of their day/night on May 20 to remember every fallen U.S. soldier who has died from the days of the Revolution until now.
Last year, we asked ALL of you to light a candle for one-hour to remember these fallen men and women, and the response we received was overwhelming. Nearly 8,000 folks on Facebook (not including their friends and family members), responded by pledging to light candles and this came from every corner of this great nation and world. Go here for the Facebook page.
Some folks burned candles all day,,others paid tribute by not only lighting candles, but also by holding ceremonies within their communities; reading poems and/or playing music to honor and remember those who have died, whether in battle or not.
This year,,,,WE ASK NOTHING LESS THAT WHAT SO MANY DID IN 2011.
This event will be held the 3RD SUNDAY OF EVERY MAY for as long as we HONOR these men and women.
This can be done ANYWHERE,,,ANYTIME,,,and EVERYWHERE,,,by yourself or with a group....in a house of worship, community center or just ANYWHERE.
PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ON YOUR PAGES AND WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITIES!!!!!!!!
We are asking ALL who have pledged to light candles if they could take photos of their cande-lighting memorials and email such pictures to: Mark.Bruh@gmail.com
