COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 14 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday: 1 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 6 in El Dorado Hills, -1 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 4 in North County, 1 in Greater Placerville, 0 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 1 in South County, 4 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: -2. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 87.

Of those new cases, -1 are under the age of 18, 9 are age 18-49, 2 are aged 50-64, and 4 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 12 assumed recoveries with 320 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 345 negative results received.

There are currently 3 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 1 in the ICU. As of today, Barton has 1 patient hospitalized with COVID-19 and 1 in the ICU, and 2 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 2 available ICU beds, Marshall 0.

There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 112 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
