COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County has transferred some previously identified cases out of the county so it appears there were no new COVID-19 cases today. There have been two, both people in the 18-49-year-old range, one from Placerville and one from the Cameron Park area. The overall change since yesterday: -1 - 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 0 in El Dorado Hills, total cases: 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 1 in Greater Placerville, 1 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 0 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: -3. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 87.

Of those new cases, -2 under the age of 18, 1 are age 18-49, 0 are aged 50-64, and 0 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 12 assumed recoveries with 276 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 168 negative results received.

There are currently 1 COVID-19 patient hospitalized and 0 in the ICU. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and 0 in the ICU, and 1 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 3 available ICU beds, Marshall 0.

There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 112 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
