COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County has announced 15 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 4 in El Dorado Hills, 2 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 5 in Greater Placerville, 3 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 3 in South County, 2 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: -4. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 87.

Of those new cases, 0 under the age of 18, 7 are age 18-49, 6 are aged 50-64, and 2 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 19 assumed recoveries with 281 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 1,490 negative results received.

There are currently 4 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 1 in the ICU in El Dorado County. As of today, Barton has 1 patient hospitalized with COVID-19 and 1 in the ICU, and 3 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 3 available ICU beds, Marshall 2.

There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 115 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
