DCSO seeks public's assistance in locating suspects in Cave Rock theft

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect(s) involved in a vehicle burglary and the fraudulent use of a credit card at Cave Rock.

During the day on May 24, 2021, a vehicle parked at the Cave Rock Trailhead was broken into. A purse with several credit cards was stolen. A short time later, the stolen credit cards were used at the Walmart and Target stores in northern Douglas County. Video surveillance of these transactions shows the pictured persons using the cards (see photos above).

The first suspect is described as a black male adult with short hair. The second suspect is a black female adult with long braided hair. Both of the suspects appear to have distinctive hand and wrist tattoos.
