Forecast: Highs into the mid-80s by Tuesday at Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After a respite from near-record temperatures
this weekend, a gradual heating trend returns through mid-week, allowing temperatures to reach record territory in the valley and around Lake Tahoe, Expect a gradual cooling trend from Friday onward, with increased winds Friday and Saturday as this system moves into the region.
The forecast for South Lake Tahoe from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.
Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 52. Calm wind.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind, becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. (record high is 84)
Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 54. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. (record high is 82)
Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 52.
Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 82. (record high is 85)
Thursday Night - A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm.
