Weekly South Lake Tahoe weather forecast: Lake Wind Advisory to start, possible record heat

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be breezy winds through Tuesday in the Lake Tahoe Basin with the strongest and most widespread winds on Monday when there is a Lake Wind Advisory in place from noon to 9:00 p.m. This will result in periods of choppy lake waters and elevated fire weather concerns with southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures will be above normal through the early part of the week before warming to record levels later in the week. A few thunderstorms may develop on the hottest days, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
The South Lake Tahoe forecast from NWS Reno:
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 75. Breezy, with a southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Monday Night - Clear, with a low around 43. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday Night - Clear, with a low around 40. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 85. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.
Friday - Sunny, with a high near 91.
Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 48.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 87.
Saturday Night - Clear, with a low around 47.
