SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The City of South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Wellness
Center & On Course Events present the long-overdue 9th Season of the Live at Lakeview Summer Music Series, starting Thursday, June 23.
“We’re thrilled to bring Live at Lakeview back after two years without free live music on the beach,” said Leslie Schultz of On Course Events. “Opening this season with Diggin Dirt and The Connor party is the perfect way to set the tone for the good vibes and high energy we’ll be delivering to this community all summer long!”
Diggin Dirt, this season’s first headliner performer, is an 8-piece funk and soul powerhouse from Northern CA, and is quickly gaining the reputation as one of the finest live bands on the West Coast. They serve up a psychedelic blend of funk, rock, and soul from the heart of the redwoods.
Hailing from Humboldt County, California, Diggin Dirt is an undeniable force in the West Coast funk scene. With a deeply original sound and a reputation for high-energy performance, this premier ensemble is a captivating scene. Their tight stage presence and irresistible groove will keep you dancing into the sunset.
Local favorites, The Connor Party open up the first show of the summer at 4:30 pm with a versatile performance that puts an original flare on songs you know while finding deep cuts and playing well-crafted music.
Live at Lakeview is a free weekly concert series hosted from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Lakeview Commons, in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Every Thursday (June 23-August 25) the event hosts live music and art on the beach, along with a variety of local merchants and delicious food options plus amphitheater-style seating and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the beer garden. Proceeds from the beer garden will continue to support the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe.
Parking is limited around the venue; however, a complimentary bike valet service is offered every week. Biking (with proper lighting) and carpooling are strongly encouraged. Additional parking is available at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center (1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.)
