Food Bank brings back monthly giveaways in South Lake Tahoe; Volunteers needed

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The El Dorado County Food Bank will be in South Lake Tahoe the fourth Wednesday through September, and not only do they want to public to know they will bring food, but they are also seeking volunteers.

The food truck sets up in the parking lot of St. Theresa Catholic Church at 1041 Lyons Avenue in South Lake Tahoe from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. They bring fresh fruits, vegetables, and Safeway Gift Cards.

Volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call the Food Bank at 530.621.9950 to sign up. People are welcome to stop by as well, but just five people are needed. Volunteers meet in the parking lot of the church.

There is no information needed to get food, but those wanting the gift cards need to record their name and inform the Food Bank how many people are in their family.
