Jason Tate Kershell ~ September 11, 1973 - June 5, 2024

Jason passed away unexpectedly and is survived by his father Henry, brother Hank, sister Tanya, aunt Wanda Mackey, and of course his beloved cat Mookie. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Kershell, grandparents Eva and Bill Wolf, and his much-loved dogs Cuddles and Keira.

A resident of South Lake Tahoe since infancy, he graduated from South Tahoe High School in 1991.

Jason was a great lover of sports; many friends have great memories of watching sports (especially the Oakland A's), playing softball, throwing darts, playing pool, and bowling with him.

The COVID pandemic led to a career change. Jason used skills he learned from his carpenter grandfather and those he developed working as a property manager to establish his well-known and loved business Lovin Tahoe Handyman Services. He continued to teach himself when new challenges arose so he could more skillfully serve his customers.

Jason's kindness, cheerfulness, and desire to help others brought support and happiness to the lives he touched. He helped others stay grounded when their lives were in turmoil and lent a helping hand when anyone needed assistance.

Jason will be greatly missed. Mookie has found a caring new home and is slowly adjusting to the loss, as are the rest of us.

A celebration of life to be announced in the next few days.
