COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - We will be bringing the daily COVID-19 report to an end on Monday. From then on there will be a weekly report on Fridays unless there is a concerning change in statistics. For today, El Dorado County has announced 7 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 2 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 1 in North County, 1 in Greater Placerville, 3 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 0 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: -1. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 79.
Of those new cases, 0 under the age of 18, 7 are age 18-49, -1 are aged 50-64, and 1 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.
There have been another 8 assumed recoveries with 231 assumed active cases.
There have been an additional 298 negative results received.
There are currently 0 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 0 in the ICU in El Dorado County. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and 0 in the ICU, and 0 is hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 5 available ICU beds, Marshall 1.
There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 116 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.

We are reporting an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. The individual was a Douglas County resident. We are also reporting 59 new cases and 69 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 12,987, with 12,563 recoveries and 229 deaths; 195 cases remain active.
