Interactive citywide road construction projects map for South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There is a joke that there are two seasons in the Sierra - winter and road construction. Knowing people can be inconvenienced by roadwork, the City of South Lake Tahoe Public Works Department created an interactive map that shows local projects within the city limits.

With the approval of a road rehabilitation budget for the coming years, Public Works is getting started on some major projects including those on Pioneer Trail from the City/County line (between Black Bart Avenue and Al Tahoe Boulevard) to Blackwood Road, along Lake Tahoe Boulevard between the “Y” and D Street, and on Spruce Avenue between Glenwood Way and Blackwood Road.

The interactive map also includes construction projects involving South Tahoe Public Utility District, Southwest Gas, and Lukins Water Company.

If you plan on taking any of these roadways over the summer, expect delays or choose an alternate route to your destination to avoid the area. This map will be updated regularly so be sure to check back for any changes or additions (see map here).
