Weekly COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -The weekly COVID-19 report begins today and will continue on Fridays unless there is a concerning change in statistics.

El Dorado County has announced 32 new cases of COVID-19 since Monday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 7 in El Dorado Hills, 3 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 3 in North County, 10 in Greater Placerville, 7 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 2 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from the count: 0. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 79.

Of those new cases, 6 under the age of 18, 14 are age 18-49, 6 are aged 50-64, and 6 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 17 assumed recoveries with 269 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 1,358 negative results received.

There are currently 0 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 0 in the ICU in El Dorado County. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and 0 in the ICU, and 0 is hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 3 available ICU beds, Marshall 1.

There was an additional death, a 65+ woman from Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue area. Since March 2020 there have been 117 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
