Tahoe History Talks on the Beach: "Dam Lake Tahoe" on the valued waters through history

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society for another one of its summer Tahoe History Talks on the Beach on Tuesday, June 27 at 7 p.m. The speaker this week is author/historian David Woodruff with “Dam Lake Tahoe.”
Lake Tahoe’s waters have been highly valued for thousands of years, important to Native Americans, Comstock mining barons, and Bay Area civic leaders as well as providing an enduring inspiration for all who see it.
Tessie's Big Bites concession is scheduled to be open until the start of the history talks each week.

August 1 - Toogee Sielsch on urbanized black bears
All talks are at Lakeview Commons in South Lake Tahoe. Join them on the steps at the shore for an hour of interesting topics and entertainment. The Commons are located at 1004 Lakeview Avenue. These are free events brought to you by the Lake Tahoe Historical Society and donations are appreciated.
The History Museum and Bookstore are open in June, July, and August on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
