Quick knockdown of house fire in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A fire in the garage of a South Lake Tahoe home was quickly knocked down by responding agencies, containing the flames before they spread.

At 5:48 p.m. on Monday, July 1, a fire was reported in the 1100 block of Dedi Avenue, and South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue (SLTFR) and Lake Valley Fire Protection District (LVFPD) responded and had the fire knocked down by 6:12 p.m.

The fire was contained to the garage of a single-story home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were no injuries reported.

Southwest Gas and Liberty Utilities were also on the scene with two engines, a firetruck, a battalion chief from SLTFR, and one engine, one battalion chief, and one medic from LVFPD.
