New weapon for keeping invasive species out of Lake Tahoe for non-motorized watercraft

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe boat inspections have been keeping invasive species off of boats entering the lake for years, and a new tool for keeping them off non-motorized watercraft is now available and on display in South Lake Tahoe.

The CD3 machine helps prevent the spread of invasive species and it will be at Kiva Beach from June 30 to July 6.

Visit the beach and use the machine on your non-motorized watercraft.

Using the CD3 machine is simple - follow the instructions on the side of the machine.

Non-motorized watercraft need to be as cautious as motorized vessels for keeping the "hitchhiking" invasive species that attach themselves to surfaces when in infected waterways.
