Unity at the Lake welcomes Donna Apidone as speaker

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Unity at the Lake is welcoming Donna Apidone as their guest presenter on Sunday, August 4 at 10 a.m. Donna is a former "Morning Edition" and “CapRadio Reads” host on NPR, and since leaving the radio network, she has been teaching and writing.

Donna teaches TransForMission, a course all about finding Purpose in life, at Sacramento State University and congregations throughout the region. The course is based on her book, also titled TransForMission.

She has also published a collection of brief, vibrant motivators, called Drive-Time Meditations, with recordings on Substack.com, and writes for two PBS outlets – NextAvenue.org and “America’s Heartland.”

Donna was ordained in New York City in 2009 and is a regular speaker at a half dozen congregations in our area. In 2023, she received an Artistic License Award from California Lawyers for the Arts.
