Filing period opens for candidates for South Lake Tahoe City Council, STPUD, LTUSD, LVFPD

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The November 5, 2024, election will be here before we know it, and now is the time to file to be a candidate for several local positions that will be on that ballot.

Candidate filing opened Monday and ends on August 9. If an incumbent fails to file, the filing period will be extended to August 14 for that position only.

“We encourage candidates to file as early as possible since filing deadlines are firm and any errors or omissions that are received too late to fix could result in the loss of their right to appear on the ballot,” said Registrar of Voter, Bill O’Neill.
