Over 700 kids signed up for South Lake Tahoe AYSO

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The board of South Lake Tahoe AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) is thanking the community for their support of the program. There are over 700 kids from ages 3-17 signed up to play soccer this fall.

Coach Administrator Kelly Meyer said they've never had enough volunteers step up to coach the kids this early, saying it is a great reflection of the community and the unity in South Lake Tahoe.

"That combination with the culture of the game of soccer is why we are all board members for AYSO," said Meyer. "Looking forward to a successful fall league after no soccer last year for any of the kids in our community, that was heartbreaking for us to watch. We’re just thankful for all the support and everyone coming out for Soccer Fun Night."
