Bay Area man dies after being pinned between two trucks on Lake Tahoe's West Shore

TAHOMA, Calif. - A 53-year-old man from Hayward, Calif. died Monday afternoon after becoming pinned between two vehicles in the 7000 block of Lake Blvd., Tahoma.

On July 22, 2024, at approximately 12:53 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers from South Lake Tahoe were dispatched to a strip mall parking lot where they found a victim crushed between a truck tractor and trailer combination and a Ford F450.

For reasons unknown at this time, the victim was outside of their Ford truck when it started to roll through the parking lot. He tried to stop the truck and was subsequently trapped between the side of the Ford and the side of the trailer of the truck tractor.

The male succumbed to his injuries on the scene. His name has not yet been released.

This collision is still under investigation.
